Timeline

As UMass Lowell reaches out to potential industry partners, they are eager to locate next to our faculty, researchers and students as soon as possible.  

That’s why we’ve created a Phase 0 to move partners into existing university space in Wannalancit Mills and scale up our engagement once Phases 1 and 2 create additional space.

The current timeline for Phases 1 and 2 — which includes UMass Lowell & industry partner co-location buildings and housing for young professionals — plans for groundbreaking in 2025 and occupancy in 2027

A timeline for student housing in Phase 3 has not yet been determined.
